The CA Chamber Orchestra is one of our finest musical organizations, and has proudly represented our academy to our local community as well as abroad.  Mrs. Rhonda Burnham is the director of the orchestra and she brings a wealth of experience in violin instruction and conducting.  In the past she served as the Forest Lake Academy Orchestra director for a number of years prior to moving to Collegedale to direct the strings education program at A. W. Spalding Elementary School. She has been a guest clinician at numerous strings festivals.

This 40 member group of students has a full concert schedule throughout the year and the highlight of this school year is the invitation to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City in March 2012.  The students are making maximum use of their rehearsal time to prepare for this prestigious event.

A major highlight from the summer of 2011 was a combined overseas trip to Fiji where the orchestra and Opus combined for a mission outreach experience that included a lot of mini-concerts for the people there.

During the 2011-2012 school year the orchestra meets for class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 – 9:33 and on Friday from 9:42 – 10:25.
